Mrs. Beattie will always be remembered for her kindness, outgoing spirit and warm demeanor. She was always there to lend a helping hand whenever she could. She was so generous with her time. She helped me countless hours in perfecting my oratory skills for the regional speaking contests. And I once needed a voice over for a Grade 10 English project involving excerpts from Anne of Green Gables. Well, Mrs. Beattie jumped whole heartedly into the role and made the project come alive in a theatrical fashion. I cannot thank her enough for touching our lives in such a beautiful way. Our sincere condolences to the family and you will be our thoughts during this difficult time.

Sending my sincere sympathy to the Beattie family on the passing of your beloved Audrey. Between Pat and Audrey, they got most of us Moons kids home safely from high school each day in the late 80's. It was always a fun guessing game to see which one would be driving that day. It was also a fun game to see how long it would take Audrey to remember to shut the flashing red lights off after a drop off, at which time she would be so mad at herself for forgetting. :) There were always lots of conversations on those rides as well - she sure cared about the people around her. May your own memories bring you a smile during these difficult days.

One summer, Mrs. Beattie hired me to do outdoor work around her house. Funny, when I got there, I maybe did a solid 15 minutes of work and spent the next 45 minutes talking to Mrs. Beattie about what was happening in my somewhat isolated life in Watford. We would talk about anything and everything. "How's your grandmother Beatrice doing?" "I swear I see your dad passing my house at least six times every Saturday; He must really love being a driver's ed teacher?". "What are you MacGregor boys doing for fun this summer?" Mrs. Beattie was so proud to talk about what exciting things were happening in her own family. I loved how passionate she was about getting to know people. She had that unique ability to make you feel comfortable in your own skin. She was kind, funny and down to earth. We need more Audrey Beatties in this world. My condolences to the Beattie family during this difficult time.

Audrey and Pat took me everywhere with Brenda. They introduced me to cottage life, snowmobiling, great beef, and a loving home. Audrey helped me fill out as a teenager when she made me eat the best pecan tarts, ever. Audrey and I became friends from the long weekend chats because Brenda never got up till 1pm. Her guidance, discipline and incredible kindness were of equal importance as a teenager.
Audrey loved to be in the 'know' and she always had local news about the people I used to go to school with.
We laughed lots these last few years over life's experiences. I hope that I hold on to my energy and sense of humor like Audrey did.
In every conversation we had, Audrey told me what a lucky mother she was to have a son like Steven. We should bottle Steven.
We all will need a 'Steven' later in our life. Proud of you Steve.
Audrey I will make Pecan Tarts in your honor. Thank you for you.
