Dear Grace,
Sad to read this obit while surfing the internet. I have fond memories of of Duncan. I will forever remember him and thankful for the job he offered me at Kysor Industrial Corporation. We had a nice visit together in Toronto. It is Christmas Eve and I remember one Christmas where his gift was a homemade bird feeder. Duncan was a real friend and loving person. He will be missed but always in my heart.
Sincerely,
Tom Hunt

Last week I drove by his home. I really felt his presence and thought to myself, I am feeling that it has been a year since his passing. Then I get the e-mail today. I always remember Duncan as a presence at the Arts & Cookery Bank. Ever so prestine giving his tour of the building he was proud of. He was kind, intelligent and subtly quiet. Miss him

Grace- I was saddened to hear of Duncan's passing. I so enjoyed our cousins reunion in 2010 and am so glad we got together to renew acquaintences. Although I didn't know Duncan well I agree with our cousin Ross who says a lot of Duncan's amazing qualities - his kindness and gentleness- are a mirror of our "Grandpa Jim". My thoughts and prayers are with you. Jan

We are saddened and so sorry to hear of Duncan's passing. However, we must graciously accept that quantity of life is peferable only when there is quality as well. Although his earthly life has been shortened, Duncan used each day wisely, continually broadening his learning experience and sharing knowledge and time with others. We feel honoured to have known him; to have worked with him on the EBRC board; and to have shared the quest of revitilizing our individual homesteads. Grace, our thoughts and sympathies are with you.

There is not much to say for the passing of a man like this, for the words diminish the importance the reality carries. We struggle for words anyways because we want to remember, we want to comfort and most importantly we want to honour. Words used to remember his life, comfort those left behind and honour the legacy and memories that will last; Even though the body fades the stories and memories remain. Whether one is silent and chooses to remember in quiet vigil, Or the open chooses to regale others with his tales, What is important is that the man lived and did so for many years while being a part of this world, and a part of the people who inhabit it. There is remembrance in that. There is comfort in that. And there most certainly is honour in that. More so than any person can ask for. Go rabih maith agat Duncan Morrison, agus slan go foill.

Duncan, you and Grace have been like a second family to me over the years. You were always there to offer support and kindness, which has meant a great deal to me. I will fondly remember the many good times we spent together, especially our talks about family history and rural life, which you shared with such enthusiasm. I'm so thankful to have known you. Your presence in this world will be missed.

Duncan, You've been such an amazing, positive, loving force in the lives of Jeannie, Samantha, and Lily. Yours will always be a strong, central thread in the fabric of their beings. Thank you for all that you gave them, and for all that you gave me. I pray that we can meet again down around the bend; I'll share my Brunello with you and I look forward to you sharing your quiet wisdom with me. Bless you.
