It is with heavy hearts the family of Lorne Braekevelt announce his peaceful passing in his 87^th year at Brookside Retirement Living on March 3^rd, 2019. Beloved husband of Sally Ziegler. Loving father of Mary- Jo (Ivan) Bryce and Shane (Sharon) Plunkett. Proud Grandpa of Melinda Podolinsky (Greg Anderson), Brian (Dianne) Podolinsky and William Plunkett. Cherished Grandpa Lorne of Bree, Jenna, Caelin, Avery, and Kacie. Survived by his siblings Yvonne (late Richard) Glass, Albert (Mary Lou) Braekevelt, Charlie (Janice) Braekevelt and sister-in-law Doris Braekevelt. Predeceased by his brother Remi Braekevelt, son-in-law Steve Podolinsky, his grandson-in-law Archie McIlmoyle, and his parents Remi Sr. and Martha Braekevelt. Lorne will be sadly missed and remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Cremation has taken place. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 6^th, 2019 at 1:00p.m. at DENNING’S OF WATFORD.
