Gord and Phyllis were wonderful friends and neighbours when we lived beside them on Sterling Street. We spent many enjoyable hours talking to them on their front porch and were grateful recipients of a lot of Phyl's deliciousl baking. I was always willing to help Gord & Phyl out and many times after doing them a favour, later that night or the next day, Gord would mosey over to our door with a fresh pie covered by a tea towel.
My wife loved the smell of Gord's pipe in the summer time when it would waft across our yard and come in the kitchen window and her favourite casserole recipe is one that she got from Phyl.
They were a wonderful couple and, although we are sad that they are both gone now, we treasure the great memories we have of them.
