Obituary of John Bork

After a blessed life the Lord called home His child, peacefully at University Hospital on January 2, 2015 in his 74th year. John Bork is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Joanne (Heyink), and his five children, Michele (Adrian) Tamminga, Lori (Ian) Hulzebosch, Mike (Janet) Bork, Scott Bork, and Tracy (Mark) VanBerkel. Proud Poppa, who will be greatly missed, to Denise (OJ), Alison, Chad, Mackenzie, Madison, Megan, Kaley, Lucas, Cameron, McKenna, Ayva, Alex, Julia and Nadia. He will be dearly missed by many brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. John enjoyed running John Bork Fuels for 45 years before retiring 2 years ago. The family would like to thank the surgeon, Dr. Nagpal, and all the other doctors and nurses on the 2nd and 6th floors at University Hospital for their kindness and compassion shown to him during his 12 week stay following heart surgery. Friends and family will be received at Providence United Reformed Church, 447 Second Street, Strathroy, on Monday from 2-4p.m. and 7-9 p.m. where the Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 1p.m. Pastor Jeff Poort celebrant. Interment to follow in Watford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to L.H.S.C. University Hospital or Covenant Christian School in Lambeth would be greatly appreciated.
