Obituary of Helen Stewart

STEWART, Helen (Georgena) Helen’s family is very sad to announce her passing peacefully at Watford Quality Care Nursing Home on August 28, 2014, at the age of 87 years. Beloved wife of the late Bob Stewart (October 2002) for 54 years, her mother and father, brother Joe Harper (2000), 2 great grandchildren David Solway and Hannah Stewart. Loving mother to Kay and Ron Cable of Strathroy ,Tom of Forest, Jim of Arkona, Lynn and Brian MacKenzie of Arkona, and Rhonda Dykeman of Alvinston. Survived by her sister in law Norma Harper. Devoted Grandma to 18 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 11 great-great grandchildren. Throughout her life Helen worked at the Watford Slipper Factory. She loved being with family and friends. She enjoyed playing cards, going to bingo and jamborees. She will be sadly missed by family, friends and her dear friend June White. The family would like to thank the staff and Dr. Johnson at Watford Quality Care Nursing Home for the loving care they provided. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel on Saturday afternoon, August 30, 2014, at 1:00 pm. Interment to follow at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery in Warwick.
