Obituary of Kathy McGill

Helen Katherine Jane “Kathy” McGill

Peacefully on October 14, 2024, with her brother and sister-in-law by her side, Kathy McGill passed away at the age of 70. Kathy is survived by her brother Willie (Mary Jane) and her brother-in-law Ken Wilson. She will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces, and great-great nephews. Kathy was predeceased by her parents Duncan and Bandeena, and her siblings Sandy Bechard, Ken (the late Pat) McGill, Sue (the late Ken) Shaw, and her brother-in-law Rene Bechard.

Kathy was the most incredible aunt in the world. She was a very devoted daughter, sister, and aunt to her family, who she loved dearly. Some of Kathy’s favourite hobbies included bingo, playing cards, doing puzzles, and cheering on the Toronto Maple Leafs. Kathy had a soft spot for animals, especially her brother’s dog Buddy. She loved baking and was a talented pie maker. Kathy was truly one-of-a-kind and always kept her family smiling and laughing. 

Visitation will be held on Saturday October 19, 2024, at DENNING’S OF WATFORD from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. A funeral service will take place at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Alvinston Cemetery.

In memory of Kathy, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation or to the MS Society of Canada.
