Obituary of Merv Williamson

With great sadness, we announce the passing of Mervyn "Merv" Williamson, in his 96th year.
Beloved husband of the late Doris Williamson (2015). Proud father to 6 children: Pat (2023), Wayne) McLellan, Bob (Rosemary)Williamson, Rick Williamson, Ken (Mary Ann) Williamson, Barry (Sabrina) Williamson and Sherrie Williamson. He was also a proud grandfather to 23 amazing grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Loving brother to Keith (Mary) Williamson.
Merv is predeceased by his parents, Kinny and Gladys and his sister, Elise Muxlow.
Merv considered his most significant accomplishment to be his family, which he held dear. He was never happier than when with 'his' children and grandchildren and could most often be found with a little one in his arms. The children in his life were his greatest joy.
Merv was the owner of Williamson Autobody of Watford for many years. He also worked for some years as an 
Insurance Appraiser in Chatham.
Although Merv enjoyed his 'regular' jobs, he proudly served with the Watford Volunteer Fire Service for 25 years, a great source of pride for him. 
He was a modest and caring man who loved his family, old cars, Sunday drives and ice cream.
Merv will be greatly missed by all who knew him, though never forgotten.
The family wishes to express gratitude for the loving care and support of the Sprucedale Care Center staff.

A Celebration of Life to honour Merv will be held at Denning's of Watford. March 9, 2024, from 2 pm to 5 pm. 

Donations to the Watford Fire Service or acts of random kindness are appreciated in lieu of flowers.
