Obituary of Betty Viola Arnel

Peacefully at North Lambton Lodge on October 2, 2023, Betty Arnel passed away in her 81st year. Betty will be missed by her beloved husband Melvin Arnel for 60 wonderful years. She was the cherished mother of Lyle (the late Jennifer, 2004) Arnel and Mary-Ellen (the late Glenn, 2011) Wilson. Betty was the proud grandma of Kayla Wilson and Jordan Wilson (Nichole Ready). She is survived by her sisters Florence (the late Russell) Watt and Anna (the late John) Watt. Predeceased by her siblings Jenny (the late Fred) Tanton, Chris Neilsen, Mary (the late Russell) Gilliland, and Ellen (the late Harold) George.

Betty was lovingly known as the “Egg Lady” from Warwick. Gardening was one of her true passions. Betty always had an incredible vegetable garden that she loved sharing with those in her community. Her green thumb was a trait that she proudly passed on to her children and grandchildren.

As per Betty’s wishes, a private family interment has taken place. There will be no visitation or service.
