Obituary of Stanley Chawner
Born March 20, 1944 in Durban, South Africa and passed away on March 29, 2021 in Sarnia, Ontario, Stanley Austin Chawner at the age of 77 has left this world but not before creating a legacy of love, smiles and an incredible story for his friends and family to cherish. He died a peaceful man, content with his life journey and at one with God's creations.
He leaves behind his best friend and his soul mate, Beverley who he shared many wonderful adventures with and together withstood any challenge. There was no better friend and comfort than his cat, "Allie Kat"
Stanley is survived by his son Charles (Lizette) of Petrolia, his daughter Ingrid (Ben) and his daughter Cathy all of South Africa. He will be sadly missed by his many grandchildren and his sister Marilyn. Predeceased by his parents Charles and Ingrid Chawner and his son in law James in 2020.
Stanley made friends where ever he went and will be remembered by so many in Canada, the US and South Africa. He loved cruising the countryside in his big black Ford F350 and enjoyed repairing old lawn mowers and keeping the grass looking good. Whenever you mow the lawn and get a whiff of that fresh cut grass, think of Stanley, he would love that.
The family would like to thank the staff at Bluewater Health, Palliative Care unit for their care and compassion as well as Dr. Nguyen and the Cancer Care Unit at London Health Sciences Centre.
If desired, memorial contributions to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Diabetes Association would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy.
