I was sorry learn just yesterday of Reginae's death. Both my sister and I remember both Reginae and George from Bogota. We were pupils then. I have several of George's books. Our family visited in Toronto on several occasions. Again my condolences. Jo Rice Carroll, Jr.
Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss of your mother. She was quite an accomplished lady and you must have been so proud of her. Our friend Steve Connolly sends his condolences as well. Steve took me upstairs to visit your mother at St Vincents and as it turned out, his mother was born and raised in Watford as well. They even went to the same school and were in the same class. I had the privilege to serve with Reginae as a bencher of the Law Society of Uppper Canada.She made an enormous contribution to the legal profession. If it had not been for her tireless and persistenr efforts , we would have no Archives, no Museum and none of the glorious windows in Convocation Hall. What a stalwart she was. It was an honour to be there with her.
Hi: I never met Reginae, but I have worked for the Village of Watford and now Township of Warwick for 35 years and every year Reginae would send in her donation to the Watford Cemetery, which was always greatfull. But not just a cheque... she would always write a page or two which would always include a bit of her family history. I always found her letters very interesting. Sometimes she would include articles of historical events. I kept several of these with our cemetery records. I could tell from her letters that she was a 'grand' lady and had done wonderful and great things in her lifetime! And her obituary certainly tells of her adventures and influence she made throughout her life. I didn't realize she was 102 years old! ..... but I am going to miss her letters.
