Obituary of Margaret Anne Hollingsworth

It is with great sadness and also with peace in our hearts that we announce the passing of our mother, Margaret Anne Hollingsworth on June 13, 2019 in her 82nd year. She was born on July 23, 1937 in Brooke Township to the late Mac (1978) and Anna (2006) MacLachlan. Beloved wife of the late James Gordon Hollingsworth (1974). Dear mother of Gord Hollingsworth (Lidiette Zuniga), Mac Hollingsworth (Beth Elnicki), Lynn (Pete) Timmermans, Dianne (Tim) Wright and Jan (Paul) Garrett. Cherished grandmother of Jamie, Joe, Jimmy (Alicia), Amanda, Katie (2007), Keenan (Bridget), Perry (David), Sam (Kimmy), Karlee (Darcy), Jacob (Sarah), Lan (Emily), Brittnee, Cameron (Amy) and honorary granddaughter Bruna Campbell. Great-Grandma to Demara, Hayley, Markus, Nolan, Cooper, Grace, Madison, Sawyer and baby Vanden Boer. Marg will be fondly remembered by Ashton (Katherine) and Shawne. Sister to Bob (Sherie), the late Mac (Elverta) and Dougie MacLachlan. Sister-in-law to Nancy (Doug) Coleman, Sharon Hollingsworth, Dorthy (Lyle) Douglas, Karen (Jack) Driesman, Peg (Les) Fraczyk, Chuck (Marion) Hollingsworth and Carol Silver. Will be missed by many extended family and friends, dear friend Gertie and her loyal fur baby Zoey.

Marg was predeceased by her in-laws Frank (Jane), John (Madeline), Ken (Betty), Doug, Bill (Darlene) and Pat Hollingsworth.

Marg was a devoted member of both the Trinity Anglican Church and the Rotary Club of Watford, having served as treasurer for each for almost 30 years. She also served on the board for the Sarnia/Lambton Habitat for Humanity.  She earned the name “Gadget Granny” from her ability to always keep up with the latest trends in her business.

In keeping with Marg’s wishes, cremation has taken place. Friends will be received at DENNING’S OF WATFORD on Wednesday, June 19^th, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Visitation will continue at DENNING’S on Thursday, June 20^th, 2019 at 12 p.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 1 p.m. Interment to follow. As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Trinity Anglican Church, Rotary Club of Watford or the Habitat for Humanity Sarnia/Lambton.
