Joy, Scafe Family, and the Thousands of Friends. Our Deepests sympathy. Dave touched all hearts that crossed his path. Children, adored this positive, cheerful man. Dave's attention was a privilege to so many. I was so fortunite. People like Dave reminds the rest of us that life is precious because he showed the world that being positive has its rewards. He will be missed but never to be forgotten. Santa, Elvis, Jello Tree, Canadian Collision 1-2, Back Field, just to name a few of my great times with Dave and company. Unfortunite we have to part so soon. The influence we all had will let us move on, and have hope to meet agian. Paul Duarte and Family.

I am very sorry for your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you all. I am not sure if many of Dave's family would know me. Joy, I went to GDHS with you and Gary Brook's and I worked very hard once upon a time to make Blue # 1. I shed a few tears when a read about Dave, it is always hard to loss a hero. I wasn't as fortunate as some to be around Dave that much, but I cherished the times I was. It was because of guys like Dave in my life that I was successful in raising to pretty good sons. His great smile, his great character, and his over whelming charm will live on forever through the people that had the great fortune of knowing him. A true gentleman! So raise a glass,,,,here's to David Allan Scafe,,,,my hero!

I've known Dave my whole life - many, many funny memories at the cottage in Port Glasgow Dave and I worked together at Howdens for a spell and he emceed my wedding with a surprise Elvis impersonation at my reception in '91. I remember being young enough to sit on his lap and ask "Uncle Dave" to teach me the drums - he always had tremendous patience for kids. I loved his undying sense of humour! Those were good times. He was such a compassionate friend when my Dad and Grandma Brown passed. Guess you've joined that party now Scafey - say Hi to Dad and John Crotty! Love Shelley, Brien and Family

Dave was always one of the persons I hoped to see on my visits to Rodney and NASCAR North. His tremendous talent for making people laugh was legend. I will never forget his 'skit' at Jonesys 60th. Even in Hospital I remember his spirits were good considering his health issues. Dave called them as he saw them and I feel privileged to have been his friend. Miss 'ya buddy. Gord Baker
