Thinking of you as this anniversary comes closer. Time helps us put the memories in order and that order helps us heal. Seeing how much she is missed shows us what a special lady Joan was. Take care.

My heart goes out to Terry and the girls. Joan is a fighter and she tried her best. We have been friends for a long time but recently we have not saw each other. I did talk to her about a month ago and she had high spirits. My daughter had lymphnomia four years ago and she fought a hard battle and won it. I know what you went through and it's hard. Joan will always be remembered. Marion Huth

Very sorry to hear that Joan had died. She and I studied Dental Assisting many years ago at St. Clair College. I was able to re-connect with her through her friendship with my Sister-in-Law, Alecia Lambert-Hall. I always remember her as a very kind, generous and gentle person.

My heartfelt sympathy goes out to you all, especially Shannon, Jolene and Terry.
Joan will always be special to me. At my age of 67 years she helped me realize a lifelong dream of learning to play the violin. Her great musical talent and bright spirit made a very positive impact on my life.
I am very grateful I had the opportunity to tell her this a few weeks ago at our last visit. The last thing she said to me was "you keep practicing!"
I will miss her.
Love and prayers,
Diane V

Terry, Jolene and Shannon. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in this difficult time. Terry, Joan was an amazing person, she will be missed, I remember your very first date with her, it is those memories that you will always have and cherrish. Jolene and Shannon, your trip down east , will be a very good memory, your Mom was so proud of you two girls, so grown up making all the plans on your trip, where you were going next. Those memories will always be cherrished, and we are so glad that we got to have a tiny part in that memory. iI Loved your Mom's sence of humour, and the conection we had for the love of music. This is a diffucult time, and no words can every replace the hurt you are all feeling, but all the stories and memories, that people share, I hope will give some comfort. Love you all, and remember our door is always opened. Love Kathy and Scott and Kaitlyn Donnelly

Where do I start? I have known Joan a long, long time...from playing in the orchestra at SDCI, attending Dental Assisting meetings in London, sharing a room in the hospital when she had Shannon and I had my Megan, and most recently her coming to teach with me at my studio and having many opportunities to play with Joan at weddings, church services and many other events. Always kind and sweet and so patient with her students, young and older alike !! Always up for a road trip or an adventure. When she became sick...her main concern was her students...she must stay strong for them. Her music will live on through her many students and everyone she shared her music with. I will treasure all of the happy memories I have of Joan and hold them close to my heart. My prayers and thoughts to you Terry, Jolene,Shannon and your extended family in the coming days, weeks months and beyond. Take Care.

Terry, Jolene and Shannon Your Mother touched our lives on many occasion, first working with Steve in Strathroy than with the band, music functions and friendship. We always referred to her as “Lucille Ball” so innocent and full of love always making us laugh and smile. She was a joy to be around and we will miss her dearly.

Terry and girls: Know that you are not alone at this time - Joan touched many lives. Working with Joan on our 'Gatherin' program and our Musical Memories project in Forest were definitely most enjoyable times. When Joan agreed to play for the 'Gatherin' in the fall of 2010 it didn't take long for our friendship to develop. Our next big project together was the Musical Memories show in Forest in October of 2011, Joan claimed it was the first time she had worn a dress since her wedding day! Loved you Joan and I will miss you.
