FODOR
At St. Thomas-Elgin General Hospital on Tuesday, August 8, 2006, Emmy (Kovacs) Fodor, a long time resident of Rodney, in her 87th year. Predeceased by her husband Mathew (2002) and son Steve (1985). Emmy immigrated with her family to Saskatchewan and then to Ontario where they settled and grew tobacco. They were one of the pioneer tobacco growers in the area. She was a long-time member of the Calvary United Church, Rodney.
Lovingly remembered by her son Ernie and his wife Veronica of West Lorne; 5 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Survived by brother Dan Kovacs Sr. and his wife Ann of Courtland and sisters Margaret Bartholomey and her husband Frank of Oakville, Mary Szanto of Chatham, Rose Panyi of Chatham and Helen Leko and her husband Tony of Delhi and several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her sister Ida Schneider (2005), and brothers in law August Szanto, Emile Panyi, George Luki and Otto Schneider.
Friends may call at the Rodney Chapel on Friday 7-9 pm., where funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 am., Pastor R. Karn officiating. Interment Rodney Cemetery.
