Georges Doucet

Obituary of Georges Donald Doucet

Georges Doucet

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Georges Donald Doucet, a loving and devoted father, son, brother, and friend to all whose lives he touched. Georges passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 53. Georges left us unexpectedly due to a sudden illness. He passed away surrounded by his loving family.

Georges died the way he lived. He wrote his own rules, fought authority, and paved his own way. If you said he couldn’t do it, he would make sure that he could. Georges was a hard worker, putting his heart and soul into whatever project was ahead of him. He gave his whole heart to people, protected those who he loved, and could always be counted on to offer support for those who needed it. Georges would give the shirt off his back if you asked for it. He would be the first voice you heard if he felt that someone whom he loved was wronged.

Of all the people he touched, his most proud achievement in life was his children. Georges always wanted to make sure they knew that they were loved and did his best to teach and guide them. We know he is with them in spirit and will always be watching over them as they make their way in the world. Georges was a strong, proud, and good man with a big heart and big dreams. He is loved and will be missed by many.

Georges is predeceased by his father Georges Doucet. He is survived by his mother Betty Doucet, his son Joey Doucet and Joey’s mother Nichole, his daughters Miracle and Hope, his sister Laura Doucet, his brother Denny Doucet, and his best friend and cousin Daniel Ollmann. Georges will also be missed by a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins, along with many other beloved friends.

Visitation will be held at DENNING’S OF WATFORD on Wednesday January 31, 2024, from 6:00pm until 8:00pm. Visitation will continue at the funeral home on Thursday February 1, 2024, from 12:00pm until 2:00pm. A funeral service will follow visitation on Thursday at 2:00pm at the funeral home. Reception to follow.

In memory of Georges, donations may be made to Salthaven Wildlife Rehabilitation and Education Centre.
