Our family has lost a wonderful friend and neighbour. Wilhelmine was always there for all of us through several generations. For my grandmother Mary, who in her 90's liked to walk down the road for a visit with Wilhelmine. She was there when we needed her nursing skills in medical emergencies. When there was a need, our mother relied on Wilhelmine to care for our sister Eleanor who had health issues, and she was there immediately for Eleanor when our mother passed away. We greatly appreciated in 1983, that Wilhelmine opened up her home as lodging for a few of our relatives from Manitoba, Saskatchewan at the time of our family reunion. In the 1990's Wilhelmine was instrumental in having the 4th concession of Bosanquet, named Gordon Road when the 911 road names and addresses were put in place. She spent many hours in 2010 gathering information to nominate our father Lorne Gordon to the Lambton Agricultural Hall of Fame and was ecstatic when she got the news her nomination had won. The Gordon family will always remember and thank her for all effort she put forth to make this happen. To Wilhelmine's children and grandchildren......your family has always had a special place in the hearts of our family Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Marian Rumford [Gordon] Ruth Munro{Gordon} and families

How very sorry I was to hear of Wilhelmine's passing. I know the last few years have been a struggle for her. She and I shared a love of family history and it was great to work with her on that. Of course it was also a privilege to look after Jim, which is how I got to know Wilhelmine in the first place. Please accept my sincere sympathy.

I was sorry to read of Wilhelmine's death. I spoke to my brother, John Russell, about it. We remember that Willie looked after us around 1950, 1951. I think my mother was so busy looking after my dad's uncle Bill Russell who lived with us and she needed someone to look after us. I remember she used to make me brown sugar sandwiches to take for lunch at Jura School! I think John wasn't going to school yet, so she probably had more to do with him.
