Obituary of John Okolisan

After 91 years of life well lived, John Okolisan passed away on February 2, 2013 at St. Thomas General Hospital. John was born on December 4, 1921. He arrived in Montreal from Romania with his parents John Sr. and Rosina when he was 7 years old. After marrying the love of his life Elizabeth they moved to Rodney, bought a farm and had 66 wonderful years together. John was reunited with his sweetheart on her birthday. John was a kind, generous, fun loving man who loved swimming, dancing, visiting with friends, spending winters in Florida and most of all his family. Left with memories galore are his "boys" Steve (Sylvia predeceased), Ken (Bonnie) and Bill (Kate). His grandchildren Tracey (John Chan), Jeremy (Lee-Ann), Patrick, Jason (Joanna), Kathryn (Tom Bieber), Cassandra (Greg Logel) and Jeffrey (Caren Campbell) and his great grandchildren Jacob, McKenna and Lukas Munn, Amanda, Lily, Eva and Nicholas Okolisan. John will also be missed by his sister in law Virginia Cipu (Andy predeceased) and numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces, grand nephews, extended family and friends. Friends may call at the RODNEY CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Funeral service will be held at the chapel on Wednesday at 11 am.
