Obituary of Helen Jean Douglas

Peacefully with her family at her side at North Lambton Lodge on Friday, July 3, 2015. Helen Jean Douglas (nee Clark) in her 96th year. Helen is predeceased by her loving husband John S. Douglas (1982). Helen is the loving Mom of Ionne and Joe Woodall of Lambeth, Inez and Don Pecena of Alvinston, the late John (1996) and Joan Douglas of St. Thomas, Jerry and the late Kathy (2011) Douglas of Strathroy, Sandy and the late Bill (2014) Hayward of Goderich, Lyle and Dorthy Douglas of Alvinston, Penny and Roy Hall of Petrolia. Amazing grandma to 23 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren and 1 great-great-great granddaughter. Sister of Mildred (Min) Moon of St. Thomas. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Daughter of the late Russel (1963) and Emma (1946) Clark (nee Blain). Predeceased by her sister Muriel (Mamie) Wilkinson (1940). Last surviving member of the Douglas Clan from Douglas Line in Plympton Township. We called her Mom, Gramma, Gramma Jean, Gramma Jam, Nana and Nan Doug. She was the best. Visitation will be held on Monday, July 6th, 2015 from 5-9pm at Denning’s of Watford. A graveside service will take place on Tuesday, July 7th at Warwick United Cemetery at 11am where interment will follow. Donations to the Sarnia-Lambton VON or the North Lambton Lodge Life Enrichment Program would be appreciated by the family.
