Obituary of Lawrence Lorne Zavitz

Unexpectedly in St. Clair County, Michigan on December 24th, 2014. Lawrence Lorne Zavitz of Watford, Ontario at the age of 52. Lawrence is survived by his loving wife and best friend Kathy, by his beloved daughter Melissa Zavitz, and his faithful dog Luke. Lawrence will be sadly missed by his parents Harold and Irene Zavitz of Watford, by his brother Wilbert (Stephanie) Zavitz of North Bay, and sister Lorraine (David) Otto of Kitchener. Lawrence will be fondly remembered by his mother-in-law Eileen (Ernest, 2014) McEwen and sisters-in-law Karen (Wayne) Dixon and Mary McEwen. Affectionate Uncle of Sarah Dixon, Joshua, Stephanie, Graham and Serena Otto, and Fraser Zavitz. Lawrence was an active member of his community as owner of Zavitz Electric and Milburn Electric, a 21-year veteran and Captain of the Warwick Fire Department, active member of the Arkona Baptist Church, and friend to all who knew him. Visitation will take place on Thursday. January 1st, 2015 at the WATFORD CHAPEL OF DENNING FUNERAL DIRECTORS from 1-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service will take place at the Warwick Community Centre on Friday, January 2nd, 2015 at 2pm with Rev. Frank Swoboda officiating. Donations in lieu of flowers to the Arkona Baptist Church (PO Box 289 Arkona, ON, N0M 2B0) or the Warwick Fire Department (Brad Goodhill, 6855 Brickyard Line, R.R. 8 Watford, ON, N0M 2S0) would be appreciated by the family.
